THE ONLY SAILING VESSEL OF ITS KIND
Sedna IV is a full-rigged (three-masted), steel-hulled sailing ship. She’s 51 metres long and is the only such vessel in the world. A veritable floating studio, she’s outfitted with an edit suite and an equipment room filled with high-definition filmmaking gear. Sedna IV provides our modern seafarers with everything they need to capture images rarely seen by the public. Moreover, the crew will be able to use the high-precision scientific equipment on board to gather, compile and analyze a multitude of data that will provide the basis of the expedition's scientific research program.
Sedna IV is a multi-purpose sailing vessel that is comfortable and practical. Her 78,000-litre diesel reserve gives Sedna IV a range of 10,000 nautical miles - and let's not forget her 960 square metres of sails!
To top it all off, as Sedna IV is equipped with the very latest in communications technologies, she will be able to communicate with internet users all over the world. In this way, the adventure will be made available to the rest of the world and all of you will be able, in a manner of speaking, to become virtual mariners.
Welcome aboard!
